【What's Mozu Tombs?】
The World Heritage property “Mozu Tombs” is a tomb group of the king’s clan that ruled the ancient Japanese archipelago. The tombs were constructed between the late 4th century and the late 5th century.
As many as 44 burial mounds exist within an area of about 4 km square. Among them, the Nintoku-tennō-ryō tumulus in Sakai City is one of the world's three largest tumuli, along with the Pyramid of King Khufu and the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, and is the largest key-shaped tumulus in Japan, built in the 5th century with a mound length of 486 metres. "Commemorative Junmai-shu for World Cultural Heritage" has been renewed with the mission as a Sakai sake brewery to pass on the cultural heritage left by our predecessors to future generations.
Premium Junmai for World Cultural Heritage "Mozu-Furuichi"
This is a commemorative Junmai for World Cultural Heritage.
Slightly dry and fresh, with just the right amount of matured aroma. Recommended to be enjoyed warmed. Excellent with soy sauce-based dishes such as boiled fish and grilled chicken.
